How to manage minimum participants for Wix classes

Set a minimum for each class occurrence, count group bookings correctly and keep the final decision under your control.

Wix Bookings with individual class occurrences. An organizer reviews counts and confirms eligible cancellations.

Decide the minimum for one occurrence

Choose the class occurrence you want to monitor. Set the number of participants you need to run it and a decision deadline. The deadline is the moment you plan to review the class, not an automatic cancellation time.

Choose which bookings count

Class Guard can count all confirmed bookings or only fully paid and free bookings. Choose the rule that matches how you run the class. Group bookings contribute their number of people: a booking for three people counts as three participants.

Review the supporting bookings

Open the rule to inspect the current count, deadline and bookings behind the total. An unavailable count is a reason to investigate permissions or data; it is not proof that nobody booked.

Make the decision yourself

If the deadline has passed and the occurrence is below minimum, you can explicitly confirm cancellation of that occurrence. You may request a participant notification with your saved message. The app does not cancel classes automatically or send background reminders.

Handle the follow-up

Refunds and rebooking are separate tasks in your booking system and payment provider. Notification delivery follows platform settings and availability. Recheck the current count before taking action.
